Marc J. Balcer

Marc Balcer is acknowledged as one of the leading experts in Model Driven Architecture (MDA). As Chief Architect, he has been developing and managing projects using SOA and MDA in subject matters as diverse as medical instrumentation, telecommunications management, financial services, and transportation logistics for over 15 years. In his career, he has collaborated on agile and model-driven development projects with Steve Mellor and Sally Shlaer at Project Technology, and with Martin Fowler at ThoughtWorks. He is responsible for leading the company’s SOA and MDA services efforts. Marc is co- author, with Steve Mellor, of Executable UML: A Foundation for Model- Driven Architecture. He has numerous publications and conference presentations to his credit on topics ranging from project management to software testing techniques. He has also developed and taught courses for Project Technology, TCSI Corporation, and ModelCompilers.com, and has been a member of the faculty of Arcadia University and Mercer County Community College. Marc holds a BS in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary and an MS from Villanova University.
